The Moné Top 5: Travel Hacks

When you travel as much as I do, you need to have hacks and tricks to make things go smoother. With that, I bring you this week’s Moné Top 5 Travel Hacks:

  1. TSA-pre-Check, Global Entry, and Clear. Anything and everything to get you through the airport as quickly and conveniently as possible.
  2. Not to be at the airport at all. I don’t like getting there early, I want to walk through and get straight on the plane. After 14 years of flying, this is key.
  3. Bring a Water Bottle and a Snack. Stay Hydrated. Sometimes, I get sorer and beat up more from sitting on a plane than during my match. Bring a bottle of water, or at least one you can refill. I also pack snacks. Who wants to pay $10 for a bottle of water at the airport or waste money on airport food?
  4. Clear Plastic Bags. I put everything I need into clear bags. It makes it so easy and convenient. I know where everything is. From chargers to headphones (essential so you don’t hear your neighbor) to my makeup. I bring as much as possible that is travel size- so my suitcase doesn’t burst.
  5. Satin Pillowcase. I always bring my own because you never know where those airplane pillowcases have been. Plus, it is really good for my hair.
  6. BONUS: Okay, I know this is a list of five, but one other thing- depending on how long the flight determines if I want an aisle or a window. More than 4 hours- Aisle, that way I can get up and go to the bathroom willingly as much as I want. Less than 4, window seat. That way, I can rest my head against the window.
