Okay, let’s switch gears. I was out one night in Boston when I bumped into Kofi Kingston’s brother, of all people. He told me about Pearl Jam playing at Fenway the next night and how amazing it would be to go, but he said tickets were impossible to get at the last minute. Not impossible when you’re a CEO and when you put the Boss in Boston. One phone call to my guy Jae at the Red Sox and I had a group of us in Fenway Park’s best suite for the concert. Random side note, everyone in the suite also knew my Advocate and fellow Boston legend, Kev Undergaro. But then what else would be expected of someone who advocates for me? For real, Pearl Jam was insane, and Fenway is legit, one of the best places I’ve ever seen a show. I remain so proud of our city and heritage.
Speaking of Kofi, I’ve always felt a connection with him because we both trained at the same wrestling school in Boston—Chaotic Wrestling. He was always so kind and helpful to me when I first came to WWE, and that bond has stuck with me throughout the years. Going to Pearl Jam with his brother was just another reminder of how tight-knit this wrestling family is. Kofi will always be a part of that for me.
