Caitlyn Clark & Angel Reese & Women’s Softball

Speaking of budding CEOs raising awareness and forging new paths for women in sports, shout out to Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese, who helped bring women’s basketball to the next level this year. I want to think The 4 Horsewomen helped do the same for wrestling a few years ago, but it was great to see all the hype, attention, and quality level of play Caitlyn, Angel, and others delivered in 2024. It’s also great to see them build their followings and receive so may other opportunities outside of basketball. I look forward to seeing what they and the next-gen do on the court in 2025. Here’s to seeing this other women’s sports, too.

Women’s Softball. I can’t be the only one who notices what seems to dominate the likes of ESPN during spring and summer. Whether at the airport waiting for a flight or even around male friends and cousins, I’ll see women’s softball playing on TV screens when in season. I’m sure it isn’t charity. TV is a business, as we all know. People are watching and enjoying the games, and I’m 100 percent here for it. In 2025, I would love to see a Caitlyn Clark or an Angel Reese in softball rise to the occasion.
