After the Fortnite PopUp party, I had the privilege of joining my cousin Snoop Dogg at a business meeting. He invited me to the meeting because he wanted me to see and learn firsthand how business deals are done. Snoop was literally surrounded by Billionaires to discuss what is next for his Dr. Bombay’s ice cream brand. Snoop had such a commanding presence. Everyone in the room was so nervous and in awe of him. These multi-billionaires were actually shy in his presence. They couldn’t even speak to him. As I legit want to learn more and more about how to be a CEO, it was an invaluable experience. I feel so grateful for Snoop to be able to learn from the very best.
After the meetings with Snoop and the CEOs, we went to Catch NYC for Cordell’s after-party. Catch is a famous restaurant in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district. The place was filled with CEOs and people from the tech and gaming industry. It was great to discuss the future of gaming, including the business and tech side of things. I also had the chance to chat with some incredible creators behind Fortnite—what a thrill! In addition, I connected with the CEO of Sandbox and Gushcloud, which was quite educational. Plus, I met the owner of a soccer, football, and rowing team! Of course, I couldn’t resist name-dropping my boss, Tony Khan, who owns the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Fulham F.C. If I didn’t have their attention, then I certainly had it after I mentioned his name. It’s nice to have family AND friends in high places.
